Hello! My name is Ashleigh, and I’m a qualified Primary School Teacher and ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher with my International English Teacher’s Licence and Private Tuition Licence, based locally in Karana Downs.

I specialise in foundational skills for early learners (Kindy – Year 2), including:

Reading fluency & phonics
School readiness
Writing skills & bookwork
Handwriting & letter formation
Early mathematics facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division)

I run short (15 & 30 minute), focused 1:1 sessions in my Little Education Studio, designed to be fun, stress-free, and highly effective. Each session is personalised to your child: if there’s a particular skill you want your child to improve or an area they’d like to extend their knowledge, that’s exactly what we’ll work on.

Literacy and numeracy skills taught in Kindergarten - year 2 form up majority of the foundation skills our kids need to succeed in years 3 and up. Without these valuable skills, our kids can fall behind, become disengaged in school and continue to struggle into upper primary and into high school.

Most parents wait until their child is in year 3 or 4 before they look for a tutor, and while tuition is a wonderful investment in your clild's education and future, no matter the age. If your child has already fallen behind in the early years of schooling, this can have a negative and lasting effect on their self esteem, love of learning and overall schooling experience.

My approach to tutoring is to create and foster a love of learning within each of my students, through short and highly engaging lessons. Each designed to target the skills your child needs to form the foundations of their learning to be successful at school and beyond.
